Quality home decoration starts with the maintenance of solid wood doors.

When cleaning the dust and stains on the surface of a solid wood door, besides being patient, it is important to use a relatively soft cloth to avoid scratching the surface. If the stains are difficult to remove, you can use a dedicated cleaner or even a mild detergent or toothpaste. After cleaning, make sure to dry wipe the surface and avoid rinsing with water. Additionally, never leave a cloth soaked in water or cleaner on the surface of the solid wood door for an extended period to prevent discoloration or paint peeling. The corners are particularly prone to paint peeling. If there are hard-to-reach areas or just dust, you can use a vacuum cleaner for cleaning.

Next, it's important to pay attention to the material of the solid wood door. Wood generally has the characteristic of expanding and contracting with changes in moisture content. Therefore, during the rainy season, which is more common in summer, solid wood doors may deform due to increased humidity in the air. On the other hand, during the dry winter season, cracking is more likely to occur due to relatively low humidity. This is particularly challenging for maintenance in regions with heavy rainfall, such as the southern parts. It's normal for wood to undergo changes in response to variations in humidity. However, if the changes are significant, you can balance indoor humidity by placing potted plants indoors or using moisture absorbers to regulate the humidity level.
